    def a negative. has to happen as its funding from the EU. money put away so that a skatepark can be built in belfast. cant be used for anything else.

    So to clarify, park will be starting in July or not? Any official word? Will it happen?

    yes it is a quick design meeting in july then a dig date straight after that... weepete would be interesting to hear where you go that info or are your just making it up?.. we are the ones involved in this project and at all the meetings and in direct contact with everyone else involved with this project.. so if you know something that we don't please share it with us...?

    people are grasping at reasons why it hasnt started yet i think.
    we had some kids in on saturday saying there are diggers on site already... think they're looking in the wrong place.
    pope - you should get a sculpture at it for your hard work!

    haha sculpture, now that would be something....

    not just me working hard though, a load of people involved.... and it seems to be gathering more and more as time draws closer to digging, advertising, opening event, art projects, competitions & jams....blah bah... this park is not just gonna be a skatepark, its gonna be a hub and hive of activity, for the youth of belfast... should keep things interesting...

    what i meant was, what with the current finanical climate , all the cuts in different budgets which are touted to be coming in the future. I say the council will be looking any excuse to back out of it.
    Not trying to piss on the bonfire...
    I really hope you guys pull it of 100% serious.

    its cool no worries, i'm pleased to say we have already pulled it off, and the monies are from the previous years budget from the European funded PeaceIII programme, so it can't be revoked and has to be spent.

    WHY?...so people chill out a little and put to rest any fears of it(the park) not happening and also peeps can start getting excited about the park....plus get to watch you on tele!! haha (PS i have been told by Claire from the BBC, that you come across very well so don't fret pet...)

    its the handsome face haha. just saw the preview on the half 1 news haha. think the N.I news is on a half 6. I dont mind the interview, its just the skating could have been better haha

    I actually have a recording of the news clip but my PC crashes using flash randomly, and the two times I tried to upload to Youtube it ended up crashing during the upload process.
